Japandi

Japanese restraint meets Scandinavian function — the interior movement built on quiet materials and honest proportion. We apply the term only to pieces that actually behave this way in a room, not to everything in the shop.

Japandi rooms are usually built from new furniture designed to look quiet. Ours are built around one real antique that already is — a piece with genuine age and a natural, unadorned surface, doing the work a whole room of matched pale-wood furniture is trying to fake. Pair it with linen, oak and stone; let it be the one object in the room with real history in it.
